a mixed experience
small room poor soundproofing
My room was quite small (i suspect it used to be a broom closet). noise isolation was poor too. I could clearly hear other guests. it sounded like the people next door were practically in my room. the lack of soundproofing made it difficult to relax.

good location does have value
convenient location friendly staff
i found the location is convenient and walkable. room service happened daily. the staff are friendly and helpful . i appreciated this level of service.
i walked up three flights of stairs with luggage. this was a bit inconvenient. i believe there should be an elevator to allow an easier access.

The hotel is very close to main attractions (I could easily walk to the Duomo). The staff offered me a welcome drink upon my arrival. My room had a kettle and a fridge. The shower room was newly renovated, which I appreciated.
The hotel's signage was not very visible from the street (the alley made it a bit difficult to spot initially).

The staff helped with my bags and provided city orientation, suggesting places to visit (they were genuinely interested in my plans!). Reception operates from 08:00 to 20:00, but after-hours check-in can be arranged.

i appreciated the location, it made exploring easy. the staff offered helpful advice for seeing local sites and suggested nice restaurants. the room was very nice and neat .
the bathroom fan was somewhat loud (but it did its job).
